Pupil Lawyer

Role summary Nartey Law Firm is seeking a competent, litigation-focused lawyer enrolled at the Ghanaian Bar to join its team as a Pupil. The successful candidate will support the firm across litigation, client matters, corporate documentation and legal research. Key responsibilities • Represent clients at meetings, hearings and trials and consult with clients to assess case details and merits. • Research legislation, case law and other legal materials and draft contracts, pleadings, reports and other legal documents. • Assist with corporate documentation, agreements, due diligence, document reviews and regulatory liaison. • Prepare research articles for publication and stay current with legislative developments. • Use appropriate legal technology and AI-assisted tools to improve research and workflow while maintaining professional judgment and ethical standards. • Undertake other assignments as directed by the firm. Candidate profile • Enrolled at the Ghanaian Bar and holds an LLB from a recognised university or institution. • Strong interest in litigation; prior litigation experience is an advantage. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Drive, with demonstrated ability to use legal technology and AI-assisted tools. • Strong legal drafting, analytical, organisational and communication skills, with excellent spoken and written English. • High integrity and professionalism; detail-oriented, proactive, punctual, reliable and able to meet deadlines and work effectively in a team.
